Structures

RCO Technologies has the capacity to handle your structural testing needs. At RCO we have multiple test beds with up to twelve hydraulic cylinders with 10,000 lbs pulling capacity per cylinder. RCO also has multiple single channel hydraulic stations with tensile and compression capacities up to 5,000 lbs. Both linear and inverted pendulum impactors are available to handle your FMVSS and ECE testing needs. RCO has experience with various OEM, federal regulations, European regulations, and are always willing to help with your custom testing needs.

FMVSS 225

RCO Technologies has experience in performing child seat anchorage testing. The child seat anchorage testing with regards to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 225 is performed to simulate statically the interaction of a child seat and its vehicle anchorages in various loading conditions. The testing loads the child seat anchorages (LATCH wires, tethers, seatbelts) in various directions while looking at their abilities to withstand the applied loads and meet deflection criteria.

Head Restraint Strength

RCO Technologies has experience with head restraint strength testing. The head restraint strength testing with regards to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 202 and European ECE 17 and ECE 25 are performed to simulate statically the interaction of a seat and its occupant in a rear end collision.

Interior Impact Testing

RCO Technologies has experience with head restraint impact testing. The head restraint impact testing with regards to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 201 and European ECE 17 and ECE 25 are performed to simulate dynamically the interaction of an occupant's head and the seat forward of the occupant. Depending upon the specification chosen, either an inverted pendulum or linear impactor is used to determine the deceleration of the head form.

Seat Anchorage Testing

RCO Technologies has experience in performing seat and seat anchorage testing. The seat and seatbelt anchorage testing with regards to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 207 / 210 and European ECE 14 and ECE 17 are performed to simulate statically the interaction of a seat and its occupant in a frontal collision. The testing combines the loading of the lap and shoulder belts (if both applicable) and the center of gravity of the seat while looking at their abilities to withstand the applied loads.
