RCO Engineering, Inc. first opened its doors in September of 1973 as a small prototype mold shop. The business was founded by three partners whose last name initials formed the company name of RCO. RCO started with six employees in a 6,000-sq. ft. facility at 16580 Eastland in Roseville.

The fledgling business immediately ran into trouble. In February of 1974, the oil crisis forced this country into a deep recession. This affected everyone to some extent, but was especially damaging to the legions of small shops that supplied the auto industry. After almost one year of business, RCO was nearly bankrupt and Paul Carollo, Sr. found himself to be the sole owner and President of the insolvent company. However, that year also signified a change in Paul's life that turned RCO's near demise into a success story. In April of 1974, Paul committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. That commitment revealed to him a whole new source of dependency and faith from the conventional wisdom he was used to. He simply put his trust in the Lord and allowed the Holy Spirit to work on the problem at hand.

Paul's trust in the Lord blessed RCO and became the basis for what would eventually become our Operating Philosophy. The company soon weathered the storms of the mid-1970's and has prospered ever since.

Today, RCO offers our customers a wide range of services, including prototype and production seat molds, prototype and production injection molds, a full service aluminum and kirksite foundry, as well as complete product design and engineering services. RCO has been able to provide our customers with highly skilled and professional employees with many diverse backgrounds.

RCO is owned by the family of the late Paul Carollo, Sr. and is administered by an Executive Committee consisting of family and non-family members. A group of department heads make up a Management Team that aids the Executive Committee in decision making in areas of employee benefits and other company policies.

Our employees have found that RCO operates under the same values that Paul, Sr. had when he started the company. Emphasis is placed on teamwork and respect for our employees. These values, along with our never ending quest to provide our customers with excellent quality, service, and value will ensure that RCO Engineering, Inc. will be a competitive force well into the 21st Century.
